With carbon frames and carbon parts, combined with light weight nuts and bolts, it’s very important to make sure they are at the right torque, to prevent over tightening, which can lead to damage.

Torque settings are normally indicated on the part, or bolts and are measured in Nm. Nm which stands for Newton Metre is the metric unit of torque and it is simple to set torque tools to the Nm required, the tool will release leverage, when reached the required torque, which prevents over tightening and reaches the required setting.
