8. Segway Fugleman
2025 Segway Fugleman
Engine Size Power Weight Price
1000cc 105hp 780kg £13,499-14,999

Coming in at number eight is the Segway Fugleman, a seriously stylish side by side that doesn’t just look the part, but performs it too. With a 1000cc engine producing 105hp and 88 Nm of low-end torque, it delivers strong low-speed power that’s perfect for tough terrain and utility tasks.

To keep things cool under pressure, it features a dual oil column piston cooling system, ensuring the engine stays at optimal temperature even in the harshest conditions. Combined with its oil-and-water cooling combo, this setup boosts long-term reliability and engine life.

Something I personally like about the Fugleman is not just its styling but its tech. The Smart Commanding System gives you access to all essential vehicle data at a glance. Plus, you can control the Electronic Power Steering and switch between three different ride modes via the dedicated app, allowing you to adapt the ride to suit any path or condition.

If you're after the perfect balance of performance, durability, and smart features, the Fugleman is well worth a look, and for £13,499 - £14,999, it's not as highly priced as some other options on the list.

2025 Yamaha Wolverine® RMAX™2 1000 LE
Engine Size Power Weight Price
999cc 108hp 930kg £29,700

Seventh place goes to the Yamaha Wolverine® RMAX™2 1000 LE, a premium, limited edition utility side-by-side. It has a powerful 999cc parallel-twin engine delivering around 108 horsepower, giving it serious grunt for both trail thrills and hard work with a 907kg towing capacity. It's D-Mode system lets you switch between Sport, Trail, and Crawl modes, tailoring throttle response to whatever the trails throw at you.

What sets it apart is its suspension, the FOX 2.0 iQS shocks with electronic adjustment deliver changes in its ride and handling characteristics to suit off-road conditions. So, whatever environment you’re riding in, it stays composed and confident.

Personally, I’m a fan of the RMAX’s cabin. It’s spacious, modern, and surprisingly refined for a UTV, with full doors, and a 7-inch touchscreen that integrates Yamaha’s Adventure Pro GPS system, ideal for tracking routes and exploring new ground. At £29,700, it’s definitely on the pricier end, but for what you get in power in comparison to some other cheaper options, it’s worth considering.

5. John deere.webp
2025 John Deere XUV 875M Gator
Engine Size Power Weight Price
854cc 22.8hp 915kg £27,000-33,000

John Deere has given its latest three-seat Gator UTV, the XUV 875M, a few smart updates, most notably a redesigned cargo bed. This one has an 854cc diesel engine delivering 22.8hp and offering a top speed of 32mph, and not to mention its 907kg towing capacity along with a 454kg cargo capacity! With 524 litres of cargo space, a tailgate to double as a portable workbench, and a tilting bed it's definitely ready to get to work.

The XUV 875M has dual A-arm suspension and a raised air intake by 30cm works to reduce dust and debris sucked into its engine by providing cleaner air, and with a steel frame, skid plates, and body panels, it’s designed for work/utility purposes. Its rear deck is now also slightly bigger in width, so there's another added bonus.

You’re looking at around £27,000 - £33,000 for one of these; however, you can find the older model, the 865M, for around £20,000 and under, depending on which one you go for. So, if you don’t want the latest model, there are options!

4. Honda Pioneer 520 | Price: £11,515

4. Honda pioneer.webp
2025 Honda Pioneer 520
Engine Size Power Weight Price
518cc 29hp 483kg £11,515

Honda introduces the Pioneer 520, a versatile UTV with a more compact and lighter design. It has a 518cc engine, so slightly smaller than some others on the list, that being said it still brings a lot to the table. Ideal for getting to work on the farm or just maintaining ground estate, it has a tilt bed carrying up to 204kg, coming equipped with a divider and tailgate opening flat to make tipping easy. As well as this, despite its smaller design, it also has a 454kg towing capacity.

With fully independent double wishbone suspension, you get a smooth ride, and its automatic transmission gives you decent pulling power for those rougher paths. It has selectable two or four-wheel drive, giving you the choice of lighter steering or more traction for whatever you need it for.

The Pioneer 520 is a reliable choice, and for £11,515 it’s a lot more affordable one too. If you’re not looking for a big towing capacity or too much power, this is probably a better fit.

Pros

  • Lighter, more compact design
  • More affordable price point

3. Can Am Maverick Trail 700 | Price: £15,799

CAN-AM 3..webp
2025 Can Am Maverick Trail 700
Engine Size Power Weight Price
650cc 52hp 569.7kg £15,799

Now, we’re into the top three, we have the Can-am Maverick Trail 700, and yes it is as cool as the name suggests…this is one of Can-am's narrowest side by sides at just 62.8 inches wide, by using an Ergo-Lok design for extra occupant space. With a 650cc Rotax single-cylinder engine, it provides 52 hp and a towing capacity of 680kg.

Storage is not a problem with this one as it has 20.2L interior storage along with ten attachment points and a cargo bed. The Maverick Trail is well-engineered for some more daring paths, with a profiled steel cage and integrated front steel bumper as well as full skid plates.

At £15,799, I’d say it offers solid value for money. Not only will it be great to ride, but it also stands out with its sleek, modern design, and its 7.6-inch multi-function digital display also enhances this.

However, if you're after a bit more power and a few upgraded features, Can-Am has you covered with the Trail DPS 1000 model.

Can Am Maverick Trail 700 - Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Good storage space
  • Narrow design
