It’s the New Year and, with it, time to plan your calendar of the year’s biking events – here’s our pick of the best from every month. 

The new year, 2026, is now well and truly underway and, even though it may not yet have brought exactly ideal biking weather, it’s a brilliant time to plan out your biking year.  

But what can we look forward to exactly in 2026? What are the headline UK bike sport events? Which are must-see biking festivals, and which shows, rides and spectacles can you not afford to miss out on?

Here’s our pick of the best, for every month of 2026! 

X-Trial | January 24th

After 10 years away the FIM X-Trial (Indoor) World Championship returns to a new venue. 19-times champ Toni Bou and his world championship rivals will blow your mind about what a motorcycle is capable of.

Bristol Classic Motorcycle Show | February 21-22nd

From humble beginnings in 1980, this Classic Bike Show in Bristol has grown and evolved into Britain’s greatest annual celebration of all that is best about the motorcycles of yesteryear. 

Held at the Bath & West Showground, the event is a magnet for enthusiasts, club members and traders alike – attracting thousands from all over the country and beyond.

Scottish Motorcycle Show | March 7-8th

Held annually since 1974, Scotland’s biggest motorcycle show currently attracts around 15,000 to see the latest models, classic displays, trade and club stalls and live shows.

International Classic Motorcycle Show, Stafford | April 25-26th

One of the biggest classic motorcycle festivals on the UK calendar and held at the Staffordshire Showground.

‘Stafford’ features trade and club stands, autojumbles, celebrity talks and more, with the highlight being a major Bonhams classic motorcycle auction.

Distinguished Gentleman's Ride | May 17th

If you fancy a good humoured, en-masse ride-out and wanna do your bit for charidee, this retro/hipster themed event, across zillions of locations, is a fun and fulfilling way to spend a Sunday in May.

Just register, pick your local ride (about 70 took place in the UK last year), dig out your (ideally) vintage style bike and dapper garb and go. 

ABR Festival | May 25 -June 6th

OK, the Isle of Man TT has obvious appeal this time of year, but it is also now expensive and difficult for many to get to. So instead, we’ve gone for the hugely popular and impressively organized ABR Festival.

With idyllic, clean surroundings at Ragley Hall, Warwickshire, quality camping facilities, masses of food, evening bands, trade stands galore, and lots to do, including celebrity adventure talks, trail rides and demos, ABR is not only unique but an almost irresistible summer biking event.

World Superbikes, Donnington | July 10-12th

Britain’s round of the World Superbike Championship is now at the East Midlands circuit, Donington Park.

This will be Donington Park's biggest event, providing the chance to see British WSB newcomer Jake Dixon plus the Lowes’ twins and more take on the world’s best in picturesque surroundings which offer great viewing.

Silverstone MotoGP & British Superbike Championship | August 7-9th & August 29-31st

August boasts not one but TWO brilliant bikesport events, so we had to include both.

The British MotoGP has returned to its traditional August slot for 2026 and, although pricey, promises the fastest, most sophisticated two-wheelers on the planet in an event which promises to be bigger and better than ever.

While August 29-31 sees the highlight of the British Superbike Championship calendar and usually provides brilliant up-close racing (including and witnessing race bike ‘fly’ over Cadwell’s famous ‘Mountain’

Ace Café Brighton Burn Up | September 6th

A combined ‘ride-out’ from London’s Ace Café to Brighton’s seafront Madeira Drive in honour of the ‘rockers’ runs of the ‘60s.

It’s the highlight of a whole ‘Rocker’-style weekend with bands, stands and classic bikes galore.

Weston Beach Race | October 16-18th

Britain’s pre-eminent beach race is an autumnal ‘must-see’ for the spectacle of seeing hundreds of dirt bikes blasting ‘Le Touquet’-style down Weston Super Mare’s beach straight before despairing over man-made dunes, crashing, collapsing and more in what is three hours of spectacular carnage.

Motorcycle Live | November 21-29th

The UK’s pre-eminent annual motorcycle show will again take place again in its traditional third week of November slot at Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre.

Motorcycle Live (MCL) provides UK bikers with their first chance to see the latest new models from the major manufacturers as well as a classic bike Heritage Zone;  live, MX ‘Moto Action Show’, two stages packed with activities and much, much more.

Kempton Classic Bike Show & Off-Road Racing Show | December 6th

The traditional final classic bike event of the year has been running for 30 years and takes place at Kempton Park and includes classic bike trade and club stands, shows and one of the biggest autojumbles in the country.
