The London Bike Show at Excel was another excellent event crammed full of stands, activities and stunts.

As expected some of the biggest names in cycling were in attendance such as Boardman Bikes, Cannondale and Giant to name a few. The show covered all types of cycles; road, mountain, electric, so there was something for everyone, which resulted in rather a lot of walking and no doubt rather a few additions to peoples wish list.

It was nice to see UK designed bike manufacturer Vaaru in attendance, recently our Cycle Blog writer Gary Blesson provided a review on the highly impressive V:8 Road bike, so it nice to see these stunning high spec bikes in person.

In the form of entertainment, the Action Sports Tour provided the crazy stunts to thrill the crowds. Their act which includes BMX and Trials Riding gives people a glimpse of what you normally only see online. I am very glad to have been able to watch it even though it made me feel very uncomfortable watching them as my heart was in my mouth the entire time! Their lack of fear is simply amazing.

We would like to thank everyone who came to visit us at our busy Lexham Insurance Stand for an Insurance quote and to enter our Win a Bike competition. It always nice to see a vast amount of people with different backgrounds all brought together with one strong interest, Cycles. With the alarming number of bike thefts declared on a regular basis we saw a wide variety of bike values wanted to be covered, with bikes that ranged from £100, to one gentleman who had over £28,000 worth of bicycles who hadn’t even had them previously insured.

It was also a proud moment when we were able to talk to and assist disabled customers that were previously unable to find insurance for their disabled cycles. It’s great to be able to offer the peace of mind by providing insurance cover to people who so desperately wanted it but were otherwise unable to get in until they visited us.

So that’s another Show done, and a brilliant one at that, though I really must remember to invest in some memory foam shoes for the next one!
