This weekend Lexham Insurance attended the ‘Big 7’ National scooter rally at Hop Farm in Tonbridge, Kent.

The event, organised by the Big 7 Scooter Club was granted national status for the first time and was the 4th event in the B.S.R.A calender. Despite the weather, scooterists turned out in their thousands for a weekend of fun without sun.

The Friday night saw bands Skatonics, The Gonads and Heavysol take to the stage to entertain the punters playing the best across punk, ska, mod classics and two tone. There were also DJ’s, a reggae room, silent disco and plenty of food and drink to keep everyone happy.

On the Saturday, the weather seemed to hold off fairly well which allowed people to enjoy the trade park, with dealers supplying scooter parts, music and sports memorabilia & clothing to name a few.

The Saturday night once again saw a superb line up of entertainment from bands ‘The Top Fuellers’, ‘The Estimators’, ‘The Parkas’ and what had to be the highlight for a lot of people over the weekend, ‘Bad Manners’. As part of their 40th year anniversary they had agreed to play at the rally as part of their UK tour.

All in all a great weekend had by all… roll on Cleethorpes!
